Halloween Costume Ideas

October 31st is just around the corner! Do you need any last minute costume ideas? One of the most popular costumes is still Captain Jack Sparrow as in Pirates of the Caribbean. Not that I can blame anyone, it is by far a real experience to wear such a pirate creation and be able to stagger freely and slur your words and no one will look at you funny. I will say that there are many sites that seem to carry the costumes of this and I have even seen some costumes in the $1,000 range for an exact replica!

The costume can be done fairly easily with the use of a few props and some nicely placed eye liner. Now, not all of us are going to go the distance that I have gone, spending a higher amount on separate pieces of authentic pirate “fatigue” but in the end, for a safe budget of under $40, you can achieve a great pirate look direct from the Black Pearl.

The next costume favorite amongst the female Disney fans is by far Cinderella. Now this Disney Princess is by far the most popular in costume in the parks as well, but with the new Alice in Wonderland film growing reviews, I would certainly bet on seeing some Alice and Mad Hatter costumes floating this year. Are we seeing a Johnny Depp theme anyone?

Disney costumes are always a huge hit with children, but we are starting to see a trend in the theme parks now during the “Mickey’s Not So Scary” Halloween Party through the month of October. More and more adults are dressing the part and enjoying a fun night out while the park stays open late for a less crowded adventure in a spooky themed decor around the Magic Kingdom in Orlando.

The other largely purchased Disney costume this year will be Tinkerbell. Tink has been blowing up the screens lately with multiple movies and the merchandise is growing for her. Once just a magical fairy, part of the Peter Pan story, Tink has evolved her own story and so her new costumes are hitting the shelves. Following Tink are the rest of the fairies from Pixie Hollow and you may see some more of the costumes following this year. Whom ever you choose to be this year, Disney will more than happily respond with amazing looks and designs for their Halloween Costumes!

Be sure to start your search soon to get the best ideas and selections, this stuff can sell out fast. eBay is always a great resource for finding hard-to-find costumes in stores, etc.

**Update to the Halloween Costume Ideas, many stores are going to carry the Princess and the Frog, Tiana’s costume. Many of the Disney stores carry the frog dolls and other unique additions to make the costumes look great! Keep a good eye out, even stores such as Walmart and Target are still carrying many of the Disney character costumes as a reasonable price.
